DAVIDsTEA Champagne Tea Spritzer

One of the many privileges of getting to work at a cool place like DAVIDsTEA is to sample the Tea’s that come in before the actually launch date! 

It seems like a natural progession to go from selling Wine to selling Tea, but now, with our new “Wine Collection” I can talk about both at once!  The new collection includes Champagne, Marsala, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Check out this recipe that a co-worker and I created on tuesday with the new Champagne Tea!

You will need:

  • 3 perfect Tea Spoons of Champagne White Tea
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • Enough ice to fill two 12 oz glasses
  • 2 Cups of Chilled Sparkling Water

How to prepare it:

  1. Steep your Champagne Tea for 3 - 4 Minutes in the boiling hot water.
  2. Separate the leaves from the Tea and pour 1 cup of tea over the ice into each glass.
  3. Fill to the top with Sparkling Water.

It really is that easy! 

To really impress your friends at a party, make this in actual Champagne flutes instead keeping in mind to use a little more tea than sparkling water!  Then, pop either a strawberry at the bottom, or try floating some blueberries on top!

These teas launch in our shops on Thursday October 7th, 2010 and we are going to have an instore sampling on Tuesday October 12th, 2010 between 5 and 7pm if you want to have a try!
